October 2026 – Toros Champions, NFL Seasons Begins – New Merch, Hats, and Store – Mid-Piss Fame

At some point in the middle of September, I thought I had time to write. I didn’t.

And now it’s the middle of October.

I’ve been sleeping late and a lot. That’s normal for me. Sleep is my favorite pastime since I was a kid. And waking up is the most dreadful moment. Here we go again. Do I need to go again? Do I need to be awake?

I don’t.

So I sleep for a few more hours than I should.

It gets dark early now. I spend hours on my phone doing social media posts, and the sun is gone. Workout at home, which consists of jumping on imaginary pads while the screen flashes dance steps. I want a pad. They are around $300 for a cheap pirated one. I might get one.

The moment I came back from Minneapolis, I thought… I felt the need to get away again. I searched for cheap flights online to New York, Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara, and other places.

I found a round-trip ticket to Seattle for $97. That’s the price of two or three long Uber rides. So I’m going to Seattle the first week of November. The second weekend of November, I’m going fishing on a two-night charter boat. Fuck me. I’m nervous about that, and it’s a long time from now. I don’t get much motion sickness, so I’ll be fine with that. I just can’t imagine spending two nights in a boat with a bunch of dudes.

I’ll get fish. I’ll get paid. I travel. I get laid.

(I just wanted to rhyme)

Going on date #3 tonight. After one intense summer with her, we hit the brakes. I like date night. We’ve been seeing each other once a week and taking it calmly. We dance. We eat. We make merry. We look great.

Life at forty.

I’m in my back 9, and I can feel it. Let’s hope I stay below par (as in golf).

Life will be alright. Enough for me to keep doing it. If it wasn’t. I would be long gone.

September was great.

Toros won the championship.

I went to a bunch of the playoff games. And most importantly… I went to the final when they won.

What great times. It was the second time I’ve seen them win the championship in that stadium. And I have a feeling that it will happen again in 2027.

Mexican baseball season is over. MLB is almost over, but fuck the rest of the teams in it (I want the Brewers to win it all). Which means… It’s NFL SEASON now!

I’m okay/happy with my fantasy team. I’m in the middle of the table after week 5. I have Henry again. I spend all Sunday watching the NFL. Again. My parlay bets have been better and hella fun. Imma keep trying. This year I’ll hit it again.

September was great.

I came back from Minneapolis and back to the routine. It took halfway through the month to get paid. And I got paid again a couple of weeks later. I did a bunch of tours. I’ve been spending less money. But everything is expensive, so it doesn’t seem like it.

September was great.

Though I fell back into routine. Downtown Tijuana. Drinking less. I go days California sober. Then three beers knock me down. But then I go on a binge and can drink all night (especially during tours).

I’ve been working out more, and I shall continue that way. I’m old but aging like a fine wine. I hope. Or so it seems.

It’s Halloween soon. And you know my tradition. Over a decade of covering Tijuana Halloween with my camera. I already ordered my costume through Amazon (I hope it fits). I also got a cat basket window thingy. Chimba hasn’t used it. I got a new shower curtain. Copies of my books… And I’m tempted to buy…

Buy…

Buy what?

Switch 2? Damn… $500… and for what? So I can play Rocket League there as well?

New lens?!?! Oh yeah… I feel like I’m going in that direction. The 35mm/1.4f or the 1.2f.

I’m unsure. That’s a big purchase.

New strobe?! Meh. I like natural light right now. Though a new strobe would be nice… I’m not sure what use I would give it at the moment since I’m not very mobile.

A car?! Same thing as the strobe. Yeah, I need one. But would I give it much use? I would have to pay parking and insurance for the few times I would use it in a month.

Tickets to Seattle.

Yes. That was cheap as F.

New MERCH!

I have Tijuana Adventure hats now. Only $25. I also ordered new shirts. And more shirts.

Here’s a picture of the hat:

Low-quality post because you know my blog is filled with more than 10 years of blogging!

Like holy shit… AI can make a new Matingas with all the shit that I have posted through the years.

I rarely wear hats, but I’m keeping one. I sold 7 shirts and 2 hats, so I almost made my investment back. By mid-November, I have a chance to open a pop-up shop at a brewery. They will also have copies of my books and my pictures there. The year will end with that. And perhaps with opening a real shop right after. For the end of the year or the beginning of the next.

Sometimes I doubt myself. Do I really want to open a souvenir curios shop in Tijuana? Is this what I must do? Do I have the energy?

I can. And I should.

I should also get the online shop going. And order more merch. Invest to make more money so I can invest so I can make more money. Repeat loop forever. Capitalism reigns supreme.

It happened three times in the past couple of weeks. That I’ve been in the pisser and someone recognizes me mid-stream. I get recognized in the street all the time. Mid-stream. That’s a new experience.

I kinda did that to Diego Luna once. But he wasn’t mid-piss. He was entering the bathroom on Terminal 5 (Delta Los Angeles) as I was exiting. I shouted DIEGO excitedly. And he just looked at me weird. I told him I was a fan and moved on.

Something like that is in my paparazzi book that not many people read.

And now… it happens to me. People asking to get a picture with me. People starstruck. Not quite the same since I’m not a real celebrity. I’m just a dude who writes and posts videos online. The stardom has changed. I said it before, and here it goes again: TikTok killed the Hollywood star.

But you know what that means? I have fans. I also have haters. But I have fans. And the fans are good to me. I feel incredibly lucky. Sometimes they give me free shit. And sometimes they give me AMAZING free shit. I met a dude at Dandy’s, and he had a gift for me. I couldn’t believe it. It was exactly what I needed. So thanks to him and all the fans that give me free shit and buy my shit and give me likes and perhaps read this!

They opened a Popeyes in the heart of downtown Tijuana. I had the chicken sandwich. It’s my latest review. It was… pretty damn fucking good. My following stays the same (it’s actually going lower). It seems to be happening across platforms. I don’t think it’s me. I feel like there is social media fatigue all around.

Or perhaps it is just me…

I’ll keep lifing the best way I know how to life. Live life die. Fuck grammar. That way you know it’s Matingas and not AI slop. The only way to separate us from the robots. Err. Like a human.

I said I would be done writing Tijuana Adventure 2 by now. Yeah. Hahaha. Not even close.

I did review it a bit and wrote something. But yeah. Not even close. Perhaps when I have time. If time exists.

In the meantime. A ton of social media posts so I can get paid, so I can invest, so I can make more money, so then perhaps I have time to write the book to make no money.

Thanks for reading.
