Insane Phone Call This Morning – Jeb Depression and Texas Back-up Fantasy – NFL Semana #11

I just hung up from the most insane phone conversation I have ever had in my life.

First of all. I hate the phone. So fuck that shit. I remember talking on the phone with a girl for the first time when I was in middle school. It was the most boring shit ever. I watched a movie the whole time and just said “yes, aha, yes” every other minute or quiet second and she kept talking.

It was like that.

But it wasn’t with a teenage girl. It was with an old man. Not sure how old. Near his deathbed probably. For over 24-minutes he spoke to me about his cancer, his messed-up scrotum, his inability to move, homeless issues, that a cop harasses him, and that he only drinks Fiji water… All I replied was “yes, aha, yes” as I tried to hang up the phone.

I was supposed to meet with this dude yesterday to take his picture about NOTHING related to all that he spoke. Holy fuck. We agreed to meet at 3 pm. He never replied or answered the phone. Then he calls me this morning to explain his whole life… and barely mentions that he didn’t show up. He said he was in the emergency room, but I couldn’t tell if this his story was from another day. It was the rambles of a dying madman…

That shit was scary.

And I’m depressed…

I’m depressed for the same reason as always. Financial stress and the longing to escape my own existence. But after that conversation… holy fuck…

This was not at all the way I thought about starting today’s blog…

I have sold two copies of my new book through KDP this month. YAY! I made $10!

See why I’m financially stressed.

I feel like when Jeb Bush said “please clap.” I tell you now, “please buy my book.” Like a sad whimper of “I know I did great. Now appreciate it. And give me money.”

Please buy my book.

Buy both of them!

Buy one here!

And the other one HERE!

If you enjoy my stupid blog, it’s a way to support me, and also… they are hilarious.

I worked yesterday on what will be the next covers. Last week’s cover was mine. And this week’s cover is mine.

This is this week:

Read the story HERE!

It’s a good story and it reminds you how stupid social media and society are becoming. A clearly Mexican man was labeled a white supremacist by some idiot who thought he was doing a white power symbol when the dude was simply cracking his knuckle outside his work truck window.

Emmanuel was clearly distressed about it. His lawyer seemed to know what he is doing. The story is still ongoing. Read more. HERE!

After taking pictures of Emmanuel and his lawyer is when I went to Julian for some aerial photos. These photos:

After work yesterday, I picked up my new drone from my San Diego address. It’s charging now. I will play with it later. The DJI Mavic Mini 2 seems identical to its predecessor (it’s what I’ve been using) except with a better camera and AI.

Work yesterday was chill. I even drank a beer with an old man inside his RV while we chatted about how crazy technology has gotten. The border was horrendous like always.

Fuck the border.

I don’t want to cross it ever again but it’s my life. Or I could switch lives like I’ve been meaning to. I mentioned Alaska before. That fantasy is gone. There’s no way I will become an Alaskan fisherman.

Now my back-up fantasy is moving to Texas with my aunt and do a menial job. I could restart life from there. And decide where to go. Probably to the Pacific Northwest. I don’t really want to live in Texas, but I wouldn’t mind a year of doing nothing just to financially de-stress.

Or… I could get more gigs like I should to make more money. I am tired of freelancing. It’s stressful as fuck. Especially during corona times. I think I’m teaming up with a friend to help with the Tijuana Adventure brand and turning it into a marketing brand for restaurants and events in Tijuana (and tours). I have too many ideas and then I do nothing. Sort of like my oldest brother. It runs in our blood.

The story I submitted and sold over a month ago is not going to run this year. I am not sure when it will run. It is one of my favorite stories ever written. I can’t wait for it to come out. If nothing changes, the next cover is not mine, then the next two are, and the year ends with not me. 2021 starts with not me either.

21 covers out of 52. Less than half. Less than my yearly average. I hope to continue to work taking cover pictures. It’s still the only gig that I like though sometimes it sucks, many times it’s great and easy.

Let’s see what 2021 holds. It’s like we’ve all been waiting for 2020 to end just to find out that 2021 will be shittier… I have a feeling it might be. How can it be? Not sure… but it might be…

And now… to please my friends and because it was an exciting NFL week…

NFL de Fantasía Semana #11

Woweee woweee!

Miami Dolphlundgrens 147.08 vs 127.80 The Mongooses

CDMX Ocelopilli 88.96 vs 132.74 The Lion King

Queretaro Thunders 157.96 vs 119.18 Jaiba Brava

Guarren Luna 129.52 vs 110.62 Queretaro Roosters

Two more weeks left in fantasy. Five more weeks to end the year. I’ve been having breakfast way too late… It’s almost time for the sun to go down and I’m barely going to make some scrambled eggs and bacon and shower. No wonder I’m fucking broke.

Need to work way more.
