This is post 700 in my blog.
That’s some sort of an achievement.
The rest of my life is about getting achievements. Finishing projects. Bucket list.
I need to finish three books: Tijuana Adventure 2, The Best of my Work on the Reader, and the Tijuana photo print book.
Excerpts of that are exclusively for my Patrons and subscribers. And also high-quality photos.
At some point in my life, I would like to record an EP. Most likely with Donkichow. Playing more music is on my bucket list. I’ll be recording riffs weekly. Or any time I have a chance. I used to do it, so I don’t forget them. I forget them. So I should publish them. Or save them accordingly. More music is the point.
I have a bucket list for right now. Breakfast, emails, and a ton of social media posts for work. And this blog.
It’s December 1.
The year is almost over.
I had very busy days, and I couldn’t blog last week. The year in review is coming. Let’s start with reviewing the last two weeks.
My brother and dad visited from Querétaro. My brother stayed in my extra room, which is my office. I set up the bed for him. It looks nice. This room looks nice.
I could rent it if I needed the money. I do need the money. But I don’t want a roommate.
I gave my brother a Tijuana tour and more. I don’t care much for my dad, but they were here for his birthday. My other brother got a cabin and a glamping site in Tecate for Sunday. Except we didn’t have a car. I borrowed my girlfriend’s car for the trip.
I drove the whole family. The little brother acting as the oldest. It was a nice trip. Ensenada, Valle de Guadalupe, Tecate, back to Ensenada. Fish tacos, ice cream, beers, wine, family, and much more.
I recorded so much content. It felt like work. It was work. Unpaid work. My days were busy with editing the content. They did alright. Now I need to get paid to do content like that. It’s going in that direction.
So much content.
I have to create more content for the restaurants that pay me. That also keeps me busier than it should. I have to cross the border to create more content this week. And it’s December.
New specials. Holiday content. I have some ideas.
I don’t know where money goes. I have it. Then it disappears. It’s the first of the month. I have to pay all the bills. Luckily, the new job owes me the month, and that covers all of it. I have two tours this week. Friday and Saturday. Birthday party and a bachelor party.
I have one more tour on the Saturday before Christmas. Then I’m off to Houston. And then the year is done.
2025. Gone.
It feels like I did a lot. But I didn’t do much.
I survived.
I wrote over 1,000 words almost every week. Now I have to do that to create books. This blog will fade, and my website will become a store. The blog will move to Substack. The pictures on Patreon. The words will become books.
Subscribe to both.
My NFL fantasy football season is coming to an end. I didn’t win any parlay. I wasn’t even close in most of them. But I don’t care. I have fun. And I like the fantasy of winning it all.
My team depends on tonight’s result. Monday night football. I’m winning by 15.5 points, my opponent still has one wide receiver left, and the defense. I have a 40% chance of winning. If I win… then I might still make it.
But it doesn’t look promising.
It seems like my season is over. It went oddly fast. Like, I barely had time to enjoy it. But I did.
Let’s see what happens tonight.
I flew again.
I don’t fly much, and I should be flying more. It’s fun, and I take great pictures. My process is complicated, but the results are nice.
I flew over Tecate and took pictures of the mountains. Mountains Gandalf!
I deleted a bunch of old photos in the blog to post this one. There are more drone photos similar, but this one was my favorite. It is a very nice Airbnb, and I did a video review.
It has new hot tubs. The inflatable ones. They only have solar electricity. The hot tubs take too much power to heat up, so you can’t even use them unless it’s summer. I would get rid of the hot tubs. The place is already nice. There is no need.
They have a full kitchen and a new cabin with two bedrooms. In general, it’s a really nice place in the middle of nowhere, and I want to go back. It was a nice time, though cold.
I want to go back to catch the Milky Way. I’m sure the pictures would look amazing.
I scheduled the posts for the restaurants this week. I have to cross the border to get paid and to take more photos. That’s going to be my monthly routine. And more tours.
The Friday tour just got canceled. Glad I charge a deposit. You don’t lose the deposit money. I can reschedule. But I’m glad I charge a deposit.
So there are only two more tours for 2025 (so far), and the year is over.
There are only a few more photoshoots at the two restaurants and scheduled posts, and the year is over.
I have no savings. My apartment looks better than ever, but I didn’t accomplish much.
My Tijuana Adventure brand grew a bit. I sold a bunch of merch. But I’m not where I want to be.
My following grew a ton. But not enough to go around the world creating content and getting paid for it. Almost there. The algorithm changes. And many chase the same dream. But I’m trending in the right direction.
2026 is coming at me fast… and I’m not sure what I want from it.
Keep growing. Keep making money. Hopefully, it’s the year where I break out.
Books to write. Merch to sell. Tours to do. Gigs to get. And so much more shit to accomplish.
Projects. So many projects. So much content.
There are only two more weeks of blogging, and then 2026 is here. I need to decide what 2026 will be.
More of the same. And more of everything.
Thanks for reading.
