It doesn’t feel like a Tuesday. It doesn’t feel like July already.
It’s halfway through the year.
It’s my girlfriend’s birthday. It will be our 2 year anniversary soon. Wild.
She’s doing a baby shower style birthday (the day after) for her and her friends. They going to drink pink things and paint pink things. Her wish.
On her actual birthday, I have no idea what we are going to do. She says she wants nothing. So… that means she wants a lot. Probably. Probably not. I have until Saturday to decide.
And I have money to do something nice. Sorta.
It doesn’t feel like a Tuesday.
I finally recovered from the three day bachelor party extravaganza. I finally started settling into routine… When I got a request for a birthday party tour.
It wilder than it should have. I still have to do the video. I still have so much work to do. I still have to do more for Ensenada Adventure.
I’ve been getting people asking me to do tours in Ensenada… More work. More tours. More seafood.
It’s going to be my mom’s birthday soon as well. She would have been 67 years old. That’s what I’m feeling. Sadness.
That’s how I felt on Sunday. Out of nowhere I started thinking of my mom and how good was the lasagna that she made. When I was a kid my favorite things were raviolis and lasagna. And she made a killer one.
I want to try to make it.
And that day… out of nowhere… my friend told me his mom unexpectedly died.
She was 63.
He is devastated.
I’m devastated for him.
6 fucking years later and I’m still devastated. But life keeps going. And I have a lot of work to do. Or so I tell myself.
I paid $5 to unlock my Photobucket. It contains pictures from 2006 to 2012. It has some horrible pics from my junior year in college with my first digital camera. The MySpace era. Some blunders for sure. I was skinny as f. Almost like a twink. In my least gay era.
Remember to cancel Photobucket monthly subscription. My curiosity to recover old files cost me $5.
It was… worth it. The cringe.
25 years from now I’ll look back at this shit and think it’s cringe as fuck as well.
Or I’ll be dead.
25 years is a long time. 25 years is nothing.
I had a mezcal tasting yesterday. My friend Benny brings mezcal from Oaxaca and wants to start a mezcal business on this side of Mexico. It’s a good idea. But you need a lot of money. He doesn’t have a lot of money.
The mezcal was great. Here’s a picture of me and Chimba in my patio drinking some mezcal:

I still have to finish videos. Follow me on my social media to watch my videos.
Mamut, my favorite brewery, is mad at me. And I don’t blame them. I posted a video of gigantic white rat near their balcony. The place got bad rep for being unsanitary. And then one of their regular customers burns them like that.
I wasn’t thinking straight. I was just thinking, this is funny content.
I’m sorry Mamut.
I really support you guys and somehow I want to make it up for that.
There are rats all over downtown Tijuana. Breweries always have issue with rats. It’s a non-issue for me. But I know it looked bad. I want to make it up… but I’m not sure how.
I finished the video of the wild Saturday. I still have more videos to finish and send a proper apology to Mamut. And more Ensenada Adventure.
I need to create a sub-website inside my Tijuana Adventure for Ensenada Adventure. And it needs a lot of text and pictures and videos.
And the rates.
And more.
So… here it is:
Ensenada Adventure embraces the same spirit of Tijuana Adventure.
Private tours for small groups no larger than 10. $200 for 4 people, add $40 each person after. Expenses are on you.
All walking around downtown Ensenada while eating and drinking and stopping at historical sites. The original margarita (supposedly), the first fish taco (supposedly), places that Anthony Bourdain visited and more!
Ensenada tours typically last 6+ hours starting at “La Bandera” the gigantic flag near the docks.
Tours usually start at 11 am and end around 5 pm, perfect for cruise ships! But I’m flexible. Starting time and pickup spot can be anything you want.
Pick-up spot is under that gigantic flag. The tour is one hour walking loop (according to google maps) with an optional long hike to Princess Tara, a beautiful lookout spot with a gigantic Nepalese statue (it’s a trip).
On the way you’ll have some of the best seafood in the world, beers, wine, tacos, and more.
“According to Anthony Bourdain, the best seafood tostadas can be found at La Guerrerense, a seafood cart in Ensenada, Mexico. Bourdain famously called it “the best street food in the world”. The cart, run by Sabina Bandera, is known for its tostadas, ceviche, and other seafood creations. One of their most popular tostadas features sea urchin and Pismo clam.”
And Matingas agrees. And there’s more!
So if you want to Ensenada Adventure with me, send me a message.
There is also Kelvin!
He is an Ensenada local, experienced tour guide, amazing guitarist, and is now following me on my footsteps of doing tours in this city.
Special requests are also available because near Ensenada there is a lot. La Bufadora, Valle de Guadalupe, El Sauzal, and beyond… cost extra, but can be done!
Here’s a bunch of pictures of what Ensenada has to offer.
All available during the tour.
Trips from the border to Ensenada will come soon.
Oh yeah. I also wrote a guide and cover story about Ensenada. You can read it here!

That’s it!
Now I’m hungry. My girlfriend is getting off work soon. I feel like I haven’t seen her in months. We are now closer to 2050 than to 2000.
And I’m old as f.
You can buy all my merch, books, prints, and more. You can hire me to be your tour guide in Tijuana or Ensenada. Or you can hire me to be your photographer. Or guitarist. Or a writer. I can do it all. Well… not really. Just a lot.
Blog done.
Buy my books on Amazon. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them if you enjoyed this. If you didn’t enjoy this… then… what are you doing still here?!
Subscribe to my YouTube. The more subscribers, the more money, the more time I have to upload cool shit.

Follow me on TikTok just because it’s the thing we do in the future.
Book a Tijuana tour with Tijuana Adventure! Still doing exclusive tours in 2025. Let’s see how much longer I last.
Read all my articles on the Reader. It is no longer printing! 148 covers and a dozen cover stories in print are now history.
I don’t have a turtle design or a tattoo artist to get a new turtle this time. Sorry mom. Perhaps I’ll find one last minute. A turtle each year in your birthday… when I can!
Love and miss you so much.
