It’s the first Monday of the year.
I said I would write every Monday.
The year started heavy with work. Four tours in a row. I’ve never done four tours in a row…
However, I’ve done tours for three or four days straight (bachelor parties). People are hitting me up for bachelor parties this year. People are hitting me up for more tours.
So many tours.
I still have to do video of all the tours.
A lot of work. Must be las lentejas. My girlfriend showered me with lentils in New Years because it is supposed to give me a lot of work.
I spent the last two weeks of 2024 sick.
I spent the last day eating tacos de cabeza and drinking bad mixed drinks (I made myself) with my girlfriend’s family.
Before that, I spent Christmas with my family. With semi-adopted family. My tía and my primos in Houston. Five years in a row spending Christmas in Houston.
Never missed a Christmas with my mom. I intend to not miss a Christmas with my aunt if she will have me.
It was great. Though I was sick for most of it.
I flew sick feeling like shit. I got the middle seat. I blew my nose and coughed throughout the flight.
I’m very sorry passengers next to me. I was not going to waste a flight.
Houston was nice.
The weather was nice.
My family is great.
The beer is really good. Two breweries gave me beer with thiols.
Go look up what thiols are.
I want more beer with thiols.
My Christmas presents were great. New jeans. New shoes. New camera.
I have to make videos of all the tours I just did.
Two of them were with the new camera. We’ll see the results soon.
Rent is paid. January started strong. I might have a tour next week. I might have a tour the week after that. Some Kiwis hit me up for a tour in March. Perhaps a repeated tour in February.
My tours are a blur. They are a fun blur.
And I take people to new places.
All my tours went extended by hours. They are supposed to last 6 hours. The one last night lasted 12 hours…
Got a nice tip. Got paid fully. And a shit ton of content. So much fucking content.
Random people yelled at us during my tour. “TIJUANA ADVENTURE!!! You are with the right guy!” Someone shouted something like that while walking in Colonia Cacho.
Chimba is digging into my jacket. Bisho wants to be on top of me all the time. It’s still winter. Summer might be insane.
Tijuana is still crazy… let’s see what 2025 brings.

Saint Arnold… one of the oldest of Houston. I wasn’t expecting much. It was also great. Basic but solid. Okay pizza. Good beer.

OMFG Equal Parts! Not only thiolized beers… but serving mliko pours. You guys are fucking insane and I want to try more. It was getting late and we had been drinking a little bit… but I want more. And pinball, fuck yeah. Houston… you get good.
Spindletap.
Ok. You sorta far. How Houston of you. But!!! Great beers. Great space. I want to go play basketball then quench my thirst with Spindletap. Another place with thiolized beers. It’s been a longtime favorite, just wish it was closer, but hey, it’s Houston.
We wanted to go to Baa Baa Brewhouse, but it was closed. And reading about it, it seems to have some of the most amazing beers in the area, but very particular about them as well. I want some. Baa Baa, hopefully, soon.

This post needs a picture. This is a happy accident I took with the new camera:
I was trying to setup a timelapse. Hit picture instead. Settings had it in automatic and it took a slow shutter picture. I used to love taking pics like that when I was a kid. Someone in Instagram liked enough to say I should print it. I’ve taken hundreds or thousands of pictures like that (and better ones). But hey. People sometimes don’t know what a slow shutter picture looks like. It’s not my best, but I haven’t been taking any pictures lately and this blog needs a picture to go with it.
Which makes me think… New challenge for 2025 as well… I’ll need a good picture every week.

A lot of merch.
I have to work on the actual merch store. I still have a lot of shirts to sell. I didn’t have one single tour in December, but did photo gigs and sold merch that the month went fine. January barely started and I already did four tours, booked more tours, did this blog, and have so much more to do. So much work.
And I owe a few shirts: Patrick, Victoria, and Forrest… I’ll be sending your merch soon! Sorry for the delay. Got sick. Went on vacation. And now I got hella busy. But I shall cross the border soon and send merch out!
